Cable snaking
A flexible cable breaks apart or hooks a blockage. Works well for hair, grease, and soft debris.
Hydro jetting

Older or already-weakened pipe may need inspection before high-pressure water is used. If an auger passes through without clearing the blockage, or a clog returns quickly, that’s often a sign to move to a camera inspection.
What not to put down a drain
Grease & cooking fat
Looks liquid when hot but hardens as it cools, coating the inside of a pipe.
Coffee grounds & starchy food
Eggshells, fibrous scraps, rice, and pasta swell or clump inside a line.
“Flushable” wipes
Belong in the trash — paper towels, cotton products, and cat litter too, even when packaging suggests otherwise.

A camera inspection isn’t needed for every clog, but it earns its cost when a blockage keeps coming back, when snaking doesn’t clear it, or when a fixture or main-line problem needs a clear answer instead of a guess. Why does my drain clog again after being cleared?
The original method may have only cleared part of the blockage, grease may recoat the pipe quickly, or an underlying cause like root intrusion was never addressed.
Can chemical drain cleaner damage pipes?
Yes, particularly older metal pipe or a line with a partial crack. If you’ve used one that didn’t clear the clog, mention it when scheduling service.
Do I need drain cleaning or sewer repair?
If the pipe is intact, drain cleaning is enough. If it’s cracked, offset, bellied, or collapsed, sewer repair is the relevant next step.
Will a drain snake remove tree roots?
